July Meeting Speaker: Scott Tunnicliff 

 

 

The June large-group meeting will take place on Thursday, July 15 at the Community Connection Resource Center from 12-1 p.m. Tunnicliff was the former Bettendorf Chamber executive and is currently serving as the executive director for the newly formed Hilltop Campus Village Project in Davenport. First Annual Cedar Rapids Irish District Fest
June, Friday 12, 2010 from Noon-10 p.m.


Irish District Music Fest, a family friendly neighborhood celebration of live music, dance and art in the historic Cedar Rapids Irish District will take place outside the Shores Central Park Building at 700 16th Street NE. Admission is $5 per person. Live entertainment will be provided throughout the day. The schedule for music and dance performances is:

 

Flying Carp w/ Craig Erickson 12:30 p.m.
Pawned Scum 1:45 p.m.
Dr. Z's Experiment 3:15 p.m.
Perry Welsh & The Pumpers 4:45 p.m.
Dances with Scissors Belly Dancing Troupe 7 p.m.
O'Connell Brothers Band 7:30 p.m.
 MOvMNT Dance Company will perform throughout the day

 

Artists are invited to register to exhibit and sell their work at the festival; please contact Tom Erger at 319-521-3113 for more information.

 

Fest organizers Tom Erger of Cabinet Studio, Inc. and Dave Baden of Sport Clips will be hosting this event annually to foster fellowship, fun for all ages and community pride for all residents of the Uptown College/Irish District. 


 

Our district continues to focus on enhancing safety and security in the district

and promoting an enhanced retail environment for the Cedar Rapids community.
